Panzergrenadiers Fireteam |
Standard Panzergrenadier fireteams ideally are 6 men strong and include a leader, a SAW-gunner operating a gyro-mounted light machine gun (thus allowing him to fire on the move) and a trooper equipped with a LasCarbine or a plasma gun. Some teams are more specialized and include long range rocket launchers to pick out armoured targets, or several plasma guns to wreak havoc on enemy hordes. Panzergrenadiers are issued with top-notch assault rifles and a heavy armor, which offers great protection and includes efficient targeting devices but is tiresome to wear in the long run, making the use of APCs a necessity as well as a combat doctrine. |
